關於新園旅館
簡介
Within Mirador Mansion, New Garden Hostel is located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, a short 1-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station. Its basic air-conditioned rooms all come with free Wi-Fi. The hostel also provides free wake-up calls and charged luggage storage services.
Simply furnished, all guestrooms come with a TV. Rooms with window are subject to availability. En suite bathrooms come with a shower.
New Garden Hostel is within a 10-minute walk from the Star Ferry Terminal and the China Ferry Terminal. It is surrounded by local shops and restaurants. Via Airbus A21, it is a 1-hour ride to Hong Kong International Airport.
There is an on-site ATM cash machine, as well as fax facilities. The hostel also provides laundry services at an extra charge.

Upon arrival at Mirador Mansion, we strongly advise guests to head directly to the reception desk at Flat C2, Floor 13 and ignore the salespeople around the hostel. Please reconfirm the address and hostel name at the front desk upon arrival. In cases of no-show, guests will be charged as per the hostel's policy The reception desk is on a different floor as the rooms. Pre-authorisation from credit card will be processed before arrival to secure your reservation. This pre-authorisation will be released after check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation. Check-out time from 9:00 to 11:00. Thank you for your cooperation.
Guest will have to pay HKD300 room deposit for securing room facilities. It's refundable upon check out when the room is checked. We can also pre-authorize on the card as deposit and release after room check. Please note that guests are not allowed to modify guest names 2 days before arrival.

第一屆2017西螺木雕創作暑期營順利結束，由台灣藝術大學等6所學校，14名美術雕塑相關科系學生，歷經3個星期的自由藝術創作，今(15)日在西螺文化館展示嘔心瀝血的精心作品，經吉田敦副教授親自指導下，每位學生對藝術價值與創作有進一部的體驗和認知。創作作品自8月15日至10月10日於西螺延平老街文化館展出，歡迎有興趣的朋友到西螺延平老街文化館欣賞學員精彩絕倫的創作，一起在流轉歲月光輝之中，感受生命前進的力量。
今(106)年首次辦理的木雕創作暑期營，由螺陽文教基金會與大葉大學造形藝術學系合作辦理，透過公開徵募並審核得14名學員，由吉田敦副教授帶著助教進入西螺小鎮，進行為期三周的駐地創作，工作場域分別在西螺東市場文創市集及市後街，創作期間吸引不少地方居民及遊客的關注目光，拉近了青年藝術家與社區的距離。

2017西螺木雕創作暑期營是集結來自台灣藝術大學、台南應用科技大學等學員的創造力及想像力，期間也安排三場人才培育系列講座，由專業講師分享木雕創作的經驗與知識。
現場除了進行木雕創作外，也安排學員走訪西螺體驗在地文化，螺陽文教基金會董事長何美慧冀望讓學員對西螺有更深的認識與連結，讓西螺沃土成為學生成長的養分，也藉此為西螺帶進年輕熱血的活力一同向上開展。

台灣藝術大學雕塑系學生劉欣宜表示，她創作的作品，一直以來都以小孩做為我主要創作形象，表現人內心的脆弱及情緒從表情及動作姿勢開始，延伸到用頭髮來表現情感頭髮無法像身體其他部位一樣能自主的控制，也因此以此無法控制的部位，來表現那些無法抑制或是不經意外洩的內心的聲音。
指導老師吉田敦副教授則希望學員透過在西螺老街上的歷史性建築物裡做木雕創作，鼓勵年輕人面對台灣獨特的歷史，找到自己的「原風景」，全力發揮自己的創造力，在經驗中累積與培養自身想像力及意志力。
學員創作的作品中，有些以關懷土地、探討人與與自然的關係進行主題創作，也有創作者在作品中反應自身經驗，寄託心靈的意識，每件作品都有屬於自己的創作故事，這次的西螺木雕創作營更為西螺留下精采的木雕作品，也強化了西螺藝術環境。
知名導演張作驥因被指控性侵，被最高法院依強制性交罪，判決有期徒刑3年10個月定讞。根據《蘋果日報》 報導，他前年4月間入獄，服刑至今因在獄中表現良好，期間在獄中拍片甚至入圍台北電影節，張向北監申請假釋初審通過，最快下周可出獄。
張作驥因遭女編劇指控，在前年5月間與多名好友一同餐敘聊天，之後一行人到張作驥的住處兼工作室聊天續攤。友人陸續離去，其中一名女編劇則因酒醉，留在張作驥家中休息。張趁機強脫她衣褲性侵得逞，導致女編劇身心受創且不甘受辱，憤而向警方報案。
她指稱當晚張借酒意性侵她，還強迫她口交，並咬破女方乳房、嘴唇，且事後清醒發現下體底褲有精液，經過DNA比對與張相符，台北地檢署遂以強制性交等罪，將其起訴並判有期徒刑3年10個月。
張於前年4月間入監服刑，迄今約2年多，據悉張因在獄中表現良好，符合《行刑累進處遇條例》中的縮短刑期條例，他至明年12月底就刑滿。不過張犯下的屬性侵案件，若假釋出獄，保護管束期間仍需戴著電子腳鐐受監控。
